I want to be able to send broadcast messages only to a specific group of people on my friends list.
The trick is that broadcast allows you to send a message to all the people on your list, not part of it. So, you must create different copies of your Friends list. One of them should only have the players you want to broadcast on.
Here are the steps :
  1. Open your friends list
  2. Click on File, then click on Export Friends List. Give it a name that you can remember, like AllMyFriends, then click save.
  3. Now, delete players you don't want to broadcast, and add anyone you want to broadcast to your list.
  4. Once this is done, save this list by Clicking on File, then Export Friends List, only this time, give it a different name, like BroadcastList, then click save.
  5. Now, lets restore your original friends list. Click on File, then click on Import Friends list. Double-click on the listname that you save for all your friends (AllMyFriends, if you used that), You now have your original list back.
When you want to broadcast, first save your current friends list with all the names, if you have change it anyway (see #1 above). Then click on File, Import Friends list, and doubleclick on you broadcast list you save (BroadcastList, if you used that). Now, the only players on your list are the ones you want to broadcast. Do your broadcast, and then you restore your original list (see #5 above).
